I was cleaning up my PC a few days ago and found way too many programs I'd completely forgotten about.
Some of them had been sitting there for months. I probably opened them once, thought "I'll learn this later," and never touched them again.
It made me laugh because every time I started a new project, my first instinct was always the same: maybe I just need another tool.
Turns out that wasn't the problem.
Lately I've been trying to stick with the same small group of programs instead of replacing them every other week. Once I stopped jumping around, I started getting work done a lot faster.
The same thing happened with image generation. I kept looking for something "better" instead of figuring out what actually worked for me. These days I mostly keep using the tools I'm already familiar with. Muse Image AI ended up being one of the few that stayed installed simply because it fit into the way I already work.
Funny enough, changing my habits made a much bigger difference than changing software.
Now, before I install anything new, I usually ask myself one question: Am I missing a feature, or am I just avoiding the work?
More often than not, it's the second one.
I'm curious if anyone else has gone through the same phase.
Do you still enjoy trying every new release, or have you reached the point where you mostly stick with the same handful of programs?
