Software Overview

---

SolidCAM provides an integrated computer-aided manufacturing environment for developing CNC machining operations from supported CAD platforms. Its direct integration with SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk Inventor, and Solid Edge allows CAM operations to remain associated with the corresponding design geometry.
The platform supports CNC machine types including Swiss-Type machines and provides milling and turning functionality alongside advanced Mill-Turn workflows. iMachining technology is also included for milling applications.
SolidCAM 2026 introduces improvements across multi-axis machining, Wire EDM, drilling, hole feature recognition, machine setup, tool management, simulation, and G-code workflows. Additional changes address project packaging, workpiece handling, setup sheets, interface behavior, and machine definition data.
